M Talks China will host Bloomberg China Markets Editor & Deputy Shanghai Bureau Chief, Allen Wan, in a discussion about implications for China from Britain’s planned exit from the EU.

In the weeks since the shock vote, how have China’s markets and currency been faring? What impact will that have on Chinese economy? Will Brexit undermine Uk-China “Golden Era” proposed by Cameron government, as well as the plan to make London a global trading hub for Renminbi?

Allen K. Wan is an award-winning American journalist who has worked for several news organizations including Reuters and MarketWatch over a two-decade-long career. He has also worked in the U.S. Treasury and State Department and spent time in Europe as a Marshall Memorial Fellow. He graduated from Boston and Georgetown universities and has spent a year at Oxford’s St. Catherine’s College.

M Talks China is a talk series at Shanghai’s landmark restaurant M-on-the-Bund that invites distinguished China hands and Chinese movers shakers to share their views on China.
