Rupert Hoogewerf, godfather of China Rich List and better known in China as “胡润 Hurun”, is a 46-year-old Brit who is now Chairman and Chief Researcher of Hurun Report Inc, a Shanghai-based research and media platform relating to China’s wealthy.
Hurun’s contribution to the understanding of wealth in China has earned him multiple awards, including 2009 Magnolia Award, Shanghai government’s highest honour bestowed upon foreigners.
In this session, he will talk about the challenges facing China’s top entrepreneurs — and about setting up Hurun Report, which has grown into probably one of China’s best known brands founded by a non-Chinese.
